Home Depot Foundation Grant
The grant included an outdoor barbeque grill, 2 outdoor seating areas with seating for 16.
The flag area also received a beautiful bench for seating as well. This generous  donation will complement the Organic Veterans Garden area greatly.
A salute to Home Depot and their employees for all the help and assistance in the installation of the equipment.

Organic Villagers at

Veterans Garden

July 30th 2015 the Veterans Garden project is complete and ready for its fall plantings.

Thanks to all the veteran volunteers from Paterson Park Apartments the project was prepared quickly.

Now the task of selecting the crops and planting methods will take place over the next month.

Thanks to Passaic County Freeholders and City Green the Veterans Garden at Paterson Park Apts is becoming a reality .

2016 Gardening Season
The second season has begun and the crops are abundant. The residents take great care in their garden and it shows.
The new addition to the  organic garden includes beautiful fruit trees consisting of 2 apple trees and 2 pear trees.
Gardeners are anxiously  awaiting first harvest of fruit.
Summer 2016  Passaic County issued a new Grant for another year
County Freeholders Sandi Lazarra and TJ Best presented the award.
Claudia Urdinavia and Jennifer Papa from City Greens were also present.
On Saturday 1/14/17 the Organic Villagers at Veterans Garden received an Outstanding Achievement Award for its tireless efforts on their gardens at Paterson Park Apartments. Present for the award was Penny, Purnell, Greg , John and Michele their Senior Case Manager. Presenting the award was Jose German president of the Northeast  Earth Coalition.
New planting season 2018 starts thanks to Passaic County Grant and City Greens
In addition to the fruits and vegetables the Veterans are adding a herb garden.

City Green received a grant for 2022 to rebuild the garden area and raise and change the layout for a more accessible working area for the Veterans.
